Letter from our President, Andrew Phillips, Civic San Diego

March 26, 2020

Our community is facing unprecedented uncertainty and evolving challenges due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. During this time, the safety and well-being of our families, employees, partners, and communities are our top priority.

Starting Thursday, March 19, complying with Governor Gavin Newsom’s stay-at-home order, Civic San Diego (Civic) staff began working remotely and will continue to do so until our government and health officials deem necessary. That being said, our organization continues to be fully operational; we have prepared and equipped our team with the necessary tools to continue to deliver the highest level of work to our partners and the communities we serve.

We will communicate and coordinate with our partners and internal staff to make sure we are supporting their needs and make sure all projects can continue to move forward smoothly. Civic has always prioritized strong and meaningful partnerships that enhance the communities we serve, and we continue to strive for a healthy and vibrant San Diego now more than ever.

As we closely monitor all COVID-19 developments, we will continue to comply with recommendations of local public health authorities to help slow the spread of this virus.

We thank government and health officials for their continued leadership during these challenging times, we stand in solidarity with the communities most affected by this crisis, and we look forward to seeing better days for all.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has information available at www.coronavirus.gov providing the latest updates about COVID-19.

Best,

Andrew Phillips

President, Civic San Diego
