Economic Development Strategy
CivicSD is currently developing a comprehensive Economic Development strategy in collaboration with a variety of public agencies and private organizations. The objectives of the strategy will be to actively create and attract new business and employment opportunities within the Centre City project area as an additional instrument to promote neighborhood revitalization and increase city revenue.
Other objectives could also include business attraction/retention, retail attraction/retention, business incubators, promotion of entrepreneurship, support for arts and culture, education, job training programs and demonstrated/tracked employment metrics.
Likely partners in the development and execution of the economic development strategy will include, but not be limited to;

- Downtown Business Improvement Districts
- Downtown San Diego Partnership
- Labor organizations
- San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce
- San Diego Workforce Partnership
