Community Parking District

Parking, Transit and Transportation Strategy

Established as a mechanism to address current and future parking needs in Downtown San Diego, the Downtown Community Parking District reinvests parking meter revenue back into the community with the goal to improve parking and mobility for those who visit, work and live in Downtown’s eight distinct neighborhoods.

Working with the Downtown Parking Management Group, Civic San Diego has prepared a 2017 Community Parking District Implementation Plan which aims to increase the parking supply, manage existing inventory/demand and provide mobility options for pedestrians, bicyclists and transit users.  In addition to the management of on-street parking, CivicSD manages four public parking garages on behalf of the City of San Diego: 6th & K Parkade, Park it on Market, Cedar Gateway Garage and North Park Garage.
